It sure does look nice!

What do you think about the translucent shell? We tell most people to stick to opaque if they're questioning it at all, because the translucent will show imperfections. Do you think that's a problem at all?

The translucent shell surely shows imperfections. Especially near the Pi zero (clearly visible in the picture). The plastic goes immediately white when cutting. 
Cuts done with a very sharp hobby knife are less (white) visible. I think that i did too much cutting with the wire cutters near the Pi.
However, I think it looks cool during gaming or just when the batteries are charging.

Have you tried adding some clearcoat to the white parts (maybe even clear nail polish) that should help a little.
