No power, just blue light
#1
Freeplay Zero build, GW image, modded battery from 11,1 V 3S, Zero W overclocked a bit (1050/500/500). Worked fine, both from power supply cable or battery. Tried to charge from Swiss Peak 8800 mAh battery bank, soon green light turned into red, FPZ blacked out. Now - while power is connected only blue light (charging) stays on, no matter if powered from battery or power supply cable, and FPZ is not powered. Zero W is working well when separated from board. Did I burned the board or part of it? Is there any possibilities to check what is wrong?

Did you use it quite a bit and it worked fine? Did you charge/use/charge/use it for multiple cycles before trying the Swiss Peak 8800 mAh battery bank?

Can you show me which batteries you are using and how they are hooked up?

Also, please try this test (can be with or without the Pi attached):
Disconnect all batteries.
Plug in the charging cable. Does the LED go blue, green, both, or nothing?
With the charging cable still plugged in, plug in a battery? Does the LED change? If so, how?

If you have the Freeplay Zero all hooked up to the Pi, if you plug power directly to the Pi will it boot up and work properly?

FPZ has been used for some 5-6 charging cycles with batteries, before that on cord for numerous times.

Batteries initially Redox LiPo 700 mAh 3S, disconnected the serial connection and soldered elements parallel, see attachement. Was not able to find right connector, used JST and soldered it on board to one connector, as seen on another image.
Disconnected batteries, after plugging in the charging cable light is still blue. Done with Raspberry attached and without.
With the charging cable still plugged in, plug in a battery - nothing happened, still blue.
Freeplay Zero all hooked up to the Pi, plug power directly to the Pi - it booted up properly and works fine.

Martinarula,
I think we should elevate this to a support ticket, so we can keep track of it better.

Please fill out the form at http://www.freeplaytech.com/contact/ and be sure to choose "Support" at the top.

If you want to, you can even just copy/paste your two messages that you already posted here. We'll have you run through some tests and then get this sorted out for you.

Thanks!
