Has anyone been able to successfully use a prebuilt image with roms from one of the other sites. For the life of me I am unable to follow Ed's instructions. There has to be a better way or guide out there than the "manual instructions" google Doc
You might try the Game Wizard IMG for Freeplay Zero. That's the only other pre-built image that I know of that includes support for the Freeplay Zero/CM3.

is there anyway you could make a video tutorial of how to get the freeplay stuff to work on a stock image of retropie?  I literally have tried your manual instructions like 5 times and cannot even get the pi to boot or ssh in

I am also looking for pre-built images. I would also like to try the manual install directions but can't seem to find them. Can you point me to those directions?

After figuring I wouldn't find anything I decided to do it myself. I used two different pre-built images and was able to successfully alter them using the directions I found to make them work. One of them is having a weird updating issue but I think that is the image and it doesn't really need to be updated anyway. Once I have it perfect I would like to share it. I am waiting for the original creator of the image to approve my sharing it first.

These are the directions I followed:

Hey guys. I welcome any instructions on how to modify an image to add support for our hardware. I want to be sure that it's clear that we can't be hosting or linking to any pre-built images that contain copyrighted material.

Of course, but you've got to mention it.
