Hello everyone,
I ordered and received the flash masta last week.
I followed the tutorial on the site to install the drivers and flash masta software.
Until then everything is ok, the linker is well detected by my PC and I rename all the roms I had on my emulator psp in .ngp because they were in .ngc.
I precise that these roms work perfectly on my arcade cab and my PSP.
So I add a rom of 16mbit in each slot, I put the cartridge in the console and there the drama!
No game is launched, worse I have display bugs on the screen and despite switching between the 2 slot nothing to do it does not work! Automatically return to the console menu...
Can someone tell me why?
I put the photos so that you see what I have on the screen.
Thank you in advance;
Hi,
you should try flashing only the 'first' slot.
The slot information is mainly because of the ngpc cartridge structure.
some games like SVC : MOTM will use both slot because of it's size (32Mbits)
For Biomotor unitron, you'll also need to patch it, otherwise, savegame won't work. Take a look at this thread :

Is your unit ok without any cartridge inside ? I've never seen the internal firmware acting the way it is on your last picture.

Hello LIKMUS,
I do not think that I've see those graphical glitches (like in your photos of the NGPC) before. If you boot a normal cartridge, do you ever see anything like that?
As Loïc asked, what if you boot up without any cartridge installed? He's right about the savegame of Biomotor unitron, but I don't think that would have an effect like you showed.
Do you happen to have a front-light installed? Sometimes the front light mods can draw extra power and cause some oddities. Speaking of that, are you using new batteries?
Could you try to clean the contacts of the cartridge with isopropyl alcohol and then insert/remove it from the NGPC several times to try to clean anything off? See if that helps at all. I wonder if a contact of your NGPC (or the cartridge) is dirty.
Hello Loic and Flavor,
Finally it came from the cartridge slot of my console. Indeed as with my game MOTM, it was not necessary to completely push the cartridge into the slot but leave a tiny space of just a millimeter.
MOTM was the only game that did that and obviously the Flash masta too.
Maybe some slot's contacts are defective...
In any case everything works well now with this technique.
Thank you !
Oh. That's good to hear. Yes, or maybe you could open the machine and clean the contacts. If it is working, maybe just go with it. Thanks for the update!
Obviously the problem still arises, I thought it came from the console and I disassembled and cleaned the contacts of the cartridge port.
I tried it on the ngpc of my brother and it does the same thing.
The game launches once in five and most of the time display bugs.
The flash masta must be defective ...
Okay, Likmus, you may be correct that there is a problem with your cartridge hardware.
