RE: speaker not working at all - Utvak315 - 04-19-2018 Its very likely that it shorted against the body of the speaker. The leads from the volume wheel were just too long, it appears they pierced the foam covering the back of the speaker. While that would stop it from working while assembled, it continued to have the same issue after initial disassembly. Assuming it worked before being shipped to me, I think the pressure from the speaker housing pushing against the leads of the volume wheel caused a break in the circuit. Once i snipped them so that they were closer to the pcb and re-soldered it, that's when it started working normally. It continues to work after reassembly as well!
