32M Bung Cart and linker on Ebay - Wiisel - 02-29-2012

Spotted this today http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=150767141134&ssPageName=ADME:X:RTQ:GB:1123 thought I would share the link as I'm more interested in one of Flavor's carts and as it stand's neither are around when I can afford to splash out.

There's a pretty good chance that auction will get removed from eBay. If anyone is interested in buying it, I'd suggest contacting the seller before that happens. At least you'll be in contact with the guy.

I listed one of the early Linkmasta prototypes on eBay when I was first working on them. It got removed by eBay.

Why do they do that? Is it because of some general policy on flash devices? If that's the case, I'm guessing they're just making things easy for themselves, not caring what type of a device it is. SNK does not profit from NGP sales, nor the game sales, so they shouldn't care.

It's just like YouTube. They'll take down any video that might cause them grief. You can't even sell dev stuff on eBay these days. I'm sometimes wondering if eBay is really that thorough or is this caused by auctions getting reported by people who do this for whatever reason.

I think you're right on, Morden. They probably have some automated process that looks for keywords, and there's probably also people that flag auctions just like eBay. It doesn't seem possible to talk to a rational human about this, either. It happens, and the auction is doomed. You can try relisting it, but their documentation pretty much says that you get one free pass the first time. After that, you risk messing up your eBay account.

Quote:eBay urges our members to follow all laws and regulations. In addition, we're always looking for ways to improve the buying and selling experience. Video games, as well as other media, are often created and licensed to function in a certain part of the world. Production rights and licensing rights are a part of copyright protection.

When people devise ways to get around protected licensing, they are violating the law and the rights of the copyright owner. This policy helps sellers comply with the law, and it helps intellectual property rights owners protect their rights

OFC plenty of stuff slips through the net there's plenty of stuff that slips through you can see everything from xk3y's to Super Wildcards. I think in many cases removed items have been reported by members.
