Where did you place the file, Maritime_Gamer? For some systems, it goes in the BIOS folder, but for Neo Geo it goes in the same folder as the game ROMs.

I'm also having trouble with the Neo-geo emulator. I've tried different bios. I've put it in the bios folder, I've put it in the neo-geo roms folder and nothing. I've looked up different methods and even which core to use and still nothing. Ugh! Somebody please help me!

Arcade games are notoriously picky. You need the proper ROMset that pairs with the emulator you're using. I haven't really kept up with this. This is likely a lot better question for the RetroPie forums or maybe the RetroPie Handhelds Facebook group.
