Brightness control and L2/R2 addon board - wizardofyendor - 10-18-2018 Is it possible to use both boards at the same time? I see they both use the GPIO pins. RE: Brightness control and L2/R2 addon board - Flavor - 10-18-2018 Yes, it is. It's no problem at all. You install both normally, except the soldering of the brightness controller is slightly more difficult with the L2/R2 addon board installed. RE: Brightness control and L2/R2 addon board - stevo619 - 11-08-2018 My question on this subject is; Do I just solder the add on pins and brightness control into GPIO 44 and 45, or do I need to move the brightness controller wires somewhere else? Brightness controller white wire goes to 45 yellow to 44. Also will this affect the 4 analog ports on the add on board, as they are all designated for duel psp1000 analog sticks? I would love to have both, but would choose analog sticks over a dimmer function. RE: Brightness control and L2/R2 addon board - Flavor - 11-08-2018 You can have both, stevo619. This isn't a problem at all, but we should have been more aware that you ordered the L2/R2 add-on and then not soldered on the brightness controller before shipping. They can both be soldered to the same points. We should have left the brightness unsoldered, because then it's easier to solder in the pins for the L2/R2 board first and then add the brightness wires. You can just heat up those through-holes (44/45) and remove the wires. Then solder in the pins for the add-on board. Then, after you have the L2/R2 add-on all in place, you can just tack the wires onto the solder points. Let us know how that goes. I am chasing around a few other issues with the add on board still. Thank you so much for the quick response and knowledge on the subject. |
