I flashed a few and when I would start the system it would automatically start the game flashed to slot 1. I figured bad rom perhaps so I made a "backup" of the unknown slot and flashed it to slot 1 to try and clear it and then it stopped booting. I didn't think to create a backup of the original contents so I'm not sure if I broke something. Has anyone else seen this or am I stuck loading flashing a new rom if I want to change games? Awesome! That worked, do I need to keep slot 1 reserved for that menu or once its ran once its good? Thanks for the quick reply btw! Thanks for the quick reply btw! Don't replace it unless you no longer want the menu functionality. Sorry for my English. This behavior is the same with the original Tetris cartridge — boot the WonderSwan Color while holding A and the game will be in black and white instead of color. WS Flash Masta is not doing anything really different from the physical cartridge, apart from using a different save mechanism (thankfully the patches help with that part for Tetris) Edit: also, if you tap and release A very, very quickly the game will instead start in color! RE: WS Flash Masta v5.1 - alioh7 - 12-14-2020 so i was one of the lucky ones to get a wonderswan flash masta, i would like to write my feedback and suggestions if the admins don't mind, i have a front-lit swancrystal which i used with the flash cart. 1-when playing some games , for example Makai Toushi SaGa (english translation) when i play the game the sound is off like only 1 channel is working , hard to explain but it can be fixed by a soft reset (start+A+B) in game and the music turns to stereo or should i say the correct music. maybe its from the translation patch? or a bug in the flash cart? 2-it would be awesome if the number of slots increased, dont get me wrong 15+1 for the menu is plenty but im used to having all my library of games with me similar to everdrives. 3-if possible to have separate saves for the games, instead of being shared, makes life easy instead of me backing up the save via the windows application to play another game. so far thats all what i have in my mind, thanks for making this wonderful product for a forgotten/unknown game system. RE: WS Flash Masta v5.1 - stry8993 - 01-13-2021 A little issue with the Github link, the Digimon Digital Card Game IPS doesn't work. The Romhacking Online Patcher won't allow me to apply it, and Lunar IPS says its not an IPS file. Just a heads up. Of course the original has the EEPROM issue, however I found the prepatched one doesn't run either. After reading through the thread and seeing Juhn's notes on why he was writing his own patches, it seems that the one he had created for the game would solve the problem I'm having. Issue is, his Google Drive is no longer up (404). Did anyone happen to mirror it anywhere? Or if Juhn is still kicking around, would you mind resharing your patches? Thanks all
RE: WS Flash Masta v5.1 - wah543 - 05-21-2021 Has anyone else had save issues with Rockman and Forte? I save the game and my save is there then later one the save file is gone. I'm using the translation patch so I'm not sure if that makes a difference RE: WS Flash Masta v5.1 - Flavor - 05-22-2021 (05-21-2021, 11:50 PM)wah543 Wrote: Has anyone else had save issues with Rockman and Forte? I save the game and my save is there then later one the save file is gone. I'm using the translation patch so I'm not sure if that makes a difference The WS Flash Masta currently has 16 slots for ROM files (15 games plus the menu). For savegame, though, it currently only has 1 slot of SRAM (we actually use nvSRAM or MRAM depending on what's available). That means that if you load a game from slot 2, play it and save your game, load a game from slot 3, and then save your game, the slot 3 game save can overwrite anything that was previously in the savegame area. We are working on a new menu system that will allow for the savegame area to act as if it has separate slots, but, the current firmware/software doesn't allow for that. |
