Does anyone know an easy way to permanently put ROMs onto the micro sd card?

I'd recommend following the steps in the "USB stick" method.
If you're connected to the network, the "SFTP" method is also good.
The "Samba-Shares" method is good, too, but the Freeplay Zero/CM3 images turn this feature off. It causes the system to be noticeably slower on bootup. You can turn it back on, if you like, though.
