Custom NGPC Game Hack - AKA my geeky way to ask someone out!

Awesome. Yeah, running on actual hardware is definitely much more exciting than emulation. It looks great, and I'm pleased to see that you received your package already.

It didn't even cross my mind that the display would smooth things out even more than emulation of course it would but I totally didn't even think about it.

I go the package and I'm quite impressed with the hardware it's great I had to try a few games I don't have with it and it's so much fun ^^

I'm probably going to start making the box this weekend and see how it all fits together i'm not sure about artwork yet though I need to see if turf master has any updates.

Ok so I have been working on the box art and it's almost finished same goes for the label for the cart.

I don't know about this label i've done I think using the logo from the actual game with all it's pixels doesn't match but maybe I should just add my own copyright text and neop number that might make it look better.

Sadly the label got damaged in the car so that's why the NGPC logo looks crap I will have to reprint but I wanted to see what it would look like on the cart I think I will round the corners next time I cut.

I will post the modified box art I found on the net it's not the best but I want to make the box first to see how well the cart and linker fit in.

I didn't like the logo on the label as it looked too pixely (If that is even a word) So I tweaked it a bit and decided to go with a picture of Mr Fool (As Mr Fool is the character you need to select to show the custom story i made)

So I did that (So hard to find a decent pic of the character) and shrunk the logo a bit so it looked better and this is the result.

Can't wait to finally apply this to the cart.

Also I just finished the front of the box for the game I sadly couldn't find very good images of the game box and trying other versions on other systems wouldn't work cause of the extra characters put into the art on the boxes so I've done the best I can and recreated the bottom icons and black bar of text.

I still need to create artwork for the back of the box as well.

Thanks Flavor it looks much better once scaled down you don't see the lines from the scan.

So I just put together a box (I've learnt to always make a few to make sure you get it right or work out another way to do it)
and I'm quite pleased with the result.

I printed it on 300GSM paper (thick and perfect cardboard strength)
Guillotined it then made some cuts and folded.

I still need to make an insert for the game and linker but I'm tempted to buy another NGPC as a spare for them as it all fits in there quite nicely.


Will just have to wait and see but that's the progress so far it's just a few more tweaks and possibly I might do a small booklet but maybe not will have to see.

Thanks im happy with it myself but i need to tweak it a bit and have it cut better but it looks and feels real nice im very pleased with the outcome.

Ill be happy to make you a box and labels you can print off flavor if you can point me to what kinda design you would like for the art.

updates will brought a bit slow as im real busy right now but updates to come

I don't know what to say about artwork. I am REALLY bad at that sort of thing. The Bung kit just used some random Gundam-like anime artwork.



There was a guy that said he was going to do boxes for me. I think he got busy with other things. Here's some art he planned to use.



I don't know that either of these are important for any other reason than to see what has been done before. I just don't think there should be any copyrighted art. Otherwise, I'm pretty open.
