Boxy Pixel custom layout
#1
A special thanks to FreeplayTech for providing me the motherboard, that already helped me a lot with some upcoming projects.

Thanks also to Hipcat, change the layout and mixing shoulders and triggers come from his at the first place.

This build is a "remix" of my Purple custom layout build, same layout but made with Boxy Pixel CM3 aluminum shell.

This video is not a full build logs, I was planning something like this at the first place but I gave up when seeing that it was going to end up 1hr+ long.
Don't take what I say or does as the way to do stuff. It is a way, not the way, nothing more.

For those who are interested by the software part and configuration stuff, Hipcat did a great video on this : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q1GbdBAvftQ

Some additional pictures, I didn't took that much on this build :S

ABXY, Dpad, Analogs and RTC PCB before cuts

MCP3021A Analog input boards

DS3231MZ RTC board

Remade Buttons and Dpad

Carbon parts

Front Shell

This one is amazing. If it's not obvious from the thumbnail, the controls and buttons are all moved. What you can't see, until you watch the video, is that Porcinus has made his own circuit boards to relocate the dpad and buttons (among other things). There is a ton of work that went into his build. It's excellent!

? I’m not sure how you are going to top this Pocinus. Maybe a solid gold build with diamond buttons? Amazing build man!

In fact, you already does buddy Smile
I wouldn't be able to do this kind of thing without a CNC, you are far better than me as you make all your build by hand Wink

Holy Moly!!! Just when i think these builds can't get even better, this just blows everything out of the water!!

Super great work! I lost it when i saw you added a RTC. I have been thinking about that for some time but never even looked into it.

We are considering releasing a RTC module (that may or may not be paired with another function), as Porcinus has laid some of the groundwork for that.  If we had a module that was fairly easy to solder on, would that be appealing?
