2) No. There is no hardware contrast option for this LCD. I don't know if RetroPie has any software contrast option.
3) Do you mean for hooking up to WiFi? This has the steps to do it "headless" without needing a keyboard and such.

4) You can change the hotkey. The easiest way to do this is to hit START at the main menu. Then choose CONFIGURE INPUTS. Go through the whole thing, and, at the end, it will ask you to press a hotkey.
To use the power button as a hotkey TOGGLE, double-tap the power button. This should be the default on our SD images. Otherwise, tap something else (like the select button) here.
