CM3 - Right Trigger Issues
#1
Try as I might, I can't seem to get the right trigger to fit properly. Left one works without issue, right trigger goes under the "lip" and is completely jammed. Everything else seems to fit without any issues, and everything is trimmed for the button to fit. I've also tried some original triggers as well as some bought from eBay. If I take the back cover off, it seems to work fine. When the back cover is put on and the button moves to it's supposed position, it's completely stuck.

I figured out my issue. For those in the same boat, I didn't need to make any of the modifications shown from the build tutorial or the FPZ video. I hollowed out the button contact point on the trigger maybe 1/16 of an inch and I'm getting proper movement again. I guess it's just too tight with the particular case I got? Who knows  Confused

Hey orrtanna! I'm sorry that I didn't see this post until you already fixed it. I am, however, happy that you fixed it and thankful that you posted the fix here.

We have definitely noticed variations in plastics. In fact, one of the big ones is when you buy a shell and then get aftermarket buttons/shoulders of a different color. I don't know if that was your situation or not. I would say that I haven't encountered one that couldn't be fixed with some minor tweaks, though. It's just not always obvious what the tweak might need to be at first.

Thanks!

No worries, thanks for the response! I think I just needed a clear head and some sleep after the initial frustration to see what the real issue was.

Here's my Reddit post with what the completed build looks like.

For anyone else following along, here's a quick photo of orrtanna's beautiful build (that I stole from this imgur gallery https://imgur.com/gallery/WFah5).
