Access denied when installing ZX Spectrum roms
#1
Hello,

When installing roms from usb key (when booting freeplay zero), I get a crash and an error message (access denied on retropie/roms/zxspectrum/Z80) when it comes to copy the zx spectrum roms.
Roms are under "retropie/roms/zxspectrum/Z80".
What is wrong ?
Is is the fact that there's an additional directory under "retropie/roms/zxspectrum" ?

Thanks

Stephane

On your USB drive, did you create the directory named Z80? If so, then I would guess that's the problem. Just put your files in the zxspectrum directory.

Yes, it indeed looks like no directory can be created under the different directories which are in "roms".
It's a sad limitation, because it would be easier to sort files based on the first letter (A directory => roms beginning with A).
But that's ok, I can live with it Smile

I have all my Amiga games filed by letter folders so there is no reason this is not possible.

Sounds like a user rights problem with differences for the usb. Try accessing the card (in your Pi) from a Samba share as “guest” and if that still fails you may need to chown -hR pi:pi /home/pi/RetroPie/roms From command line.

Use a WiFi dongle and Use Samba or SFTP support functions to copy games on that way.
