RetroPie 4.4 Stretch?

Hi

I cant see that this has been asked about, but i was wondering if it was planned to update the Freeplay CM3 image to use the latest version of RetroPie, which is built from Stretch rather than Jessie?

I have been holding back on applying any updates to try to avoid any potential clashes/issues for now!


Otherwise i would eventually (time permitting) look at applying the needed istems myself, but thought it best to check here so I am not duplicting something already being done!

The latest image I have released is based on 4.4. Have you tried that one? See the readme file that is with the images. Let me know if you have any issues with it.

I think it's retroarch/liberato cores. Mine has been stuttering, and changed to non liberato cpre and stutter is fixed... but then aspect ratios change.

I spent time searching the forum for references to Stretch, looking to see if there was any commentary on manual updates etc, announcements etc, and neglected to check for any updates to the downloads!

I shall certainly be giving this a go and report back if there are any issues!
