To keep a good log of things, I have 3 more to add here.
Chris R.:
When he uses his ability, it says something like "200 damage to all Flav characters"
It should include a "'s" to be "200 damage to all Flav's characters"
Yashiro:
His ability only affects the character directly across from him, but that's not clear from his ability text.
Akuma:
His ability only affects the character directly across from him, but that's not clear from his ability text.

Hey Flavor, you sold me 2 flash carts with english CFC2 on it a few months ago. I've been playing alot and have gotten over 90% cards and have beaten every one on battle. I tried to play today, but as soon as I press "a" through the special thanks intro my game turns off. I see the menu for half a second and it turns off. Anyway to get past this? I've tried changing both the AA's, cr 2032s, and even different NGPCs. The same thing always happens. I'm trying to beat the game completely so any amount of assistance would help. Thanks~

I'm not sure if it's possible for the rom on the cartridge to get corrupted on its own, unless you flash a broken save, but you could try dumping the cartridge and playing the game on an emulator to see if the problem is still there.
Anyone who invests a lot of time into playing one game should make backups of their progress.

About the backups, you are correct. Flavor warned me about getting backups from the LinkMaster but I thought that I didn't need it because it has always worked for me. It worked awesome during my full run on the PC, the psp, and even on the DS. I was just wondering if there was any other ways of fixing this besides getting backups and/or this "error" was happening to other people.

I'm not sure how to fix this and I haven't seen this particular error myself, but dumping the rom and trying it on an emulator would at least tell you if it's the rom itself that got corrupted or if it's something else.

Hey slashmastah! I'm sorry. I missed your post before, and I just got back into town and saw the rest of the thread.
This problem does sound troubling. I have been playing CFC2 on a Flashmasta cart, myself. I haven't encountered this problem, though.
I do know that the NGPC itself will sometimes save data to the cartridge. This can be used when it boots up the NGPC. I also think that CFC2 saves some data on its own, like if you're in the middle of a battle and lose battery. Then next time your turn it on, it might try to start from that point.
My guess is that some of this sort of data got saved and it's trying to deal with it right after the intro and before the main menu runs. Maybe there's something about the intro that messes it up. I'm not sure. I'm just grasping here.
I'm thinking that you'd really like to preserve your save-game data so that you don't lose your spot in the game. You should email me and we can discuss how we might do this for you.

Hi, I'm Raohmaru, and I'm new here.
I've been playing CFC2 since 2010 in my old PSP 1000, running on the RACE! emulator, and I think that's one of the best games I’ve ever played.
Although the translation is almost perfect, always bothered me some errors in the text of the abilities of some cards (as Flavor and XanXi have noted in this post), since the effect does something different (or opposite) to that text.
So I am working on a revision of the text of the abilities of all cards to avoid confusions and improve the gameplay. But first I want to know if I need the permission of the guys who translated the game to edit their work, and if I can share my revision in this forum.
Thank you.
