Oh I see that's unfortunate but hopefully the new firmware comes out soon

For savegame, though, it currently only has 1 slot of SRAM (we actually use nvSRAM or MRAM depending on what's available).

That means that if you load a game from slot 2, play it and save your game, load a game from slot 3, and then save your game, the slot 3 game save can overwrite anything that was previously in the savegame area.

We are working on a new menu system that will allow for the savegame area to act as if it has separate slots, but, the current firmware/software doesn't allow for that.

I've definitely been hitting this. Now I know better. Any ETA for when the new menu system will be released?

Hey, I got a flash masta a little while ago, and no rom of lode runner works right. The problem occurs after I beat the first level and go up the ladder to the second level, the screen just goes white and I have to turn the system off. Can anyone help me with this issue as I am not as computer savvy as most people on this forum seem to be.

Thank you,
Both Swat Kats

On the first page of this thread, there's a list of games that need patching to save correctly.  I assume you're hitting this issue.

The problem is that his post links to a Google drive file that's no longer there.

Just below his post is another that links to a Github project.

That does have a patch for Lode Runner, but I have no idea if that fixes your problem or not.  Report back here if you can test it.

You'll need the original ROM file and the IPS file to create a new ROM file that you can flash to your cart.

Hey Everyone,

I just put my order in for the Flash Masta v5.1 and cannot be more excited! What are some of your favorite games and is there anything I should be made aware of?

Hi XxKeeperxX!  Welcome!

I would say to read through the first page of this thread for sure.  The big takeaway is that you may need to apply a patch for some games.

The other thing to know (I think it's in this thread and elsewhere) is that the WS Flash Masta has 15 slots for games but it only has 1 slot for savegame data.  We're (sadly slowly) working on a way to get around the savegame limitation, but, in the meantime, just know that all games share the same save area.

This means that if you play one game and save and then play another and save, the second game's save may overwrite the first game's.

Again, I almost hesitate to talk about this fix, because it's still in development, but my hope is that it's a "simple" menu replacement that will be easy for anyone to apply to their cart and it will manage the savegames for the different slots.

This is all really good information! You guys are doing an awesome job and you won't hear any complaints from me. Besides the one game save at a time may seem like an inconvinience but this will definitely keep me playing one game at a time lol. A thought I had, is it possible to save, transfer the save file off and keep it safe on your PC? This way it could be a temporary work around until you guys work your magic.

Yeah, you can.  There's a "Backup Save" and a "Restore Save" option in the app.  You can use it just like you mentioned.

I just wanted to know if anyone tried Namco Super Wars and Langrisser Millenium and can confirm that they work and save fine on a Flash Masta?
