Wow. I have to revisit this thread because it is now happening to me. White screen, low buzzing noise.
As far as I can tell, I bricked it changing an advanced setting in the Raspi Config menu which I accessed from within Retropie. It had worked just fine up until that point. I will try and re-flash it tonight.
As far as the low buzzing noise, I had a similar noise but I changed the mixer settings to a lower value for PCM.
