For example on the build I just finished, I was widening the port for the sound potentiometer wheel and it kept binding when tightened. Eventually I discovered that it was actually getting hung up on the shell's screw post further in back. I shaved off segments from about 40 degrees of the post and it spins freely now. It was an issue that the 2018 board I have on hand didn't have. Everything is idiosyncratic and each fit is ultimately a special snowflake, no matter how thorough the Freetech documentation is. It's just how it is when one is not using fabbing equipment with QC engineering processes.
