Did anyone build a kit from the moded ips shells?

Today I found out that many sellers (from retromodding to aliexpress) sell trimmed gba shells to fit an IPS screen.
Did anyone try and use them to build their freeplay?
I'm having trouble at this part of the guide and I thought that it help with the matter.
