Does anyone have experience with the silicone pad under the buttons sliding? The one under my "A" button (using all 4 buttons, with pads, no clicky sticks) keeps sliding a bit and I have to unscrew, push it over, and then reseal. Is there some kind of adhesive that would work OK for something like this without causing issues?

Can you post a couple photos of how the pads are, maybe from the underside of the front shell before you screw the shell into place.

Key question from me putting my systems engineer hat on: do you have issues with the D-pad and start/select?

On my build, i have glued the silicon pads to the ABXY button (just a little drop of superglue), it is far easier to keep everything in place.

On my side, it stick really well, too much if you want to recover the silicone pad for something else.

A drop of Beacon Zip Dry (like a stiffer kind of rubber glue used for papercraft) or even white glue should work as well. The problem is that the dome switches are fabricated as one piece with a hole for an alignment pin in the shell. They reinforce each other and cutting single switches out lets them shift and twist. So you need an alternate means of anchoring.
