No, I think this wouldn't work out for you. I think your Pi 3A+ could be made to work with the Freeplay Zero, but we don't have any of those in stock at the moment. We're working on a redesign that might be ready in a couple weeks.
Another guy paired the Pi 3A+ with the Freeplay Zero. You can see how that worked out here: https://forum.freeplaytech.com/showthread.php?tid=4781
The Funnyplaying IPS screen has nothing to do with the Freeplay kits or any Raspberry Pi stuff. I think you're getting things mixed up. The Funnyplaying IPS screen is meant for an actual GBA system circuit board. The Freeplay stuff is meant to fit in a GBA style shell, but it's not a GBA.
Thanks so much for the clarification. I wish there was a way to at least solder the LCD screen you sell to the 3A+ GPIO or even the Display connector. In that case, I'm stuck with a 3A+ board without a proper screen unfortunately
. Do you know of a good compatible screen the size of the GBA for the 3A+? Almost all of the screens that I've seen for the Pi 3A+ are not really designed for gaming but rather for sensors and stuff and there's tons of screen tearing, flickering, and FPS dips. Oh boy, I'm such a noob!
