Brightness control and L2/R2 addon board

My question on this subject is; Do I just solder the add on pins and brightness control into GPIO 44 and 45, or do I need to move the brightness controller wires somewhere else? Brightness controller white wire goes to 45 yellow to 44. Also will this affect the 4 analog ports on the add on board, as they are all designated for duel psp1000 analog sticks? I would love to have both, but would choose analog sticks over a dimmer function.
