I use 16GB for most of our stuff. I think you could easily do the math on the 50 games and see if they'd fit. If you had a 128GB card, it would likely be overkill for that. But if you wanted to do large video files and such or lots of box art or video snaps then things can fill up.
I have heard of some 128GB files having problems with Raspberry Pi systems. I think that's a small minority. I've also heard of people getting counterfeit SD cards that are like a small SD card that's been reconfigured to look like a large one. Just be aware.
