Power Button & Other Issues
#1
The power switch must be held to turn one I was gonna overlook this because I used to be able to hold the power button to turn off the freeplay but that doesn't work anymore and when I go into the game that is on there hermes the screen changes colors and the game freezes. I used the image from the google drive as well. Is there anyway that I can solve the problem without soldering and or other advances and arduous techniques?

Are you using the Freeplay CM3?  There is some known issues with Hermes on the Pi 3 / CM3.  It's still in development.

I'm not quite sure what you're describing with the power button.

Do you mean that you have to hold the power button for 5 seconds or so until the green LED comes on?  Then you can let go of the power button?  That is normal behavior.
Does your power button spring back (like a DS power button), or does it stay in the ON position (like a GBA)?  It should spring back.

What changed since then?  I don't know why that would stop working.
In the main RetroPie/EmulationStation menu, can you hit START and then do a system shutdown from the Quit menu?  Does that shut it down properly?

Okay I understand the problem with Hermes and the power button is as you described I need to hold it, I think the cm3 wouldn't shut down because the game was frozen, Ill try a different game at let you know what happens.

Oh yes. I understand what you mean now. If Hermes locks up, I think that something goes wrong with the power button script. Then it won’t shut down properly. There is somewhat secret button (only because people don’t generally need it) on the CM3 near the power switch. If you wanted to, you could drill a small hole in your shell and have access to that button. It would allow you to completely cut the power if you ever needed to.
