Hey guys. This summer has been busy, and it's not slowing down anytime soon. Sorry I haven't been replying here lately.
1) The SNES->PCE adapter multitap thingie is progressing. I have been working on a prototype, but it still only works with 1 SNES controller. Whenever I add functionality for another controller (or multiple), things get tricky. A solution is in the works, but again, slowly.
2) I am also working on a new PCE/TG16 flash cart. I know it's kinda bad timing with Krikzz releasing his version (and another guy doing a small run of his homemade version). However, I want to try some things with this and target a different sort of user. My plan is to make it have USB onboard. I don't know if it will have a MicroSD slot or not. After that, it will be very open. Hackers can modify the firmware or whatever to add features. Since I won't be doing a lot of initial firmware or menu development, it will keep the cost down. Maybe it could sell shipped for less than $50 USD. If I could keep it at half the cost of a Everdrive, maybe it could have some interesting usefulness and hackers could do all sorts of interesting things with it.
Initially, I think it would be pretty easy to use USB to load multiple games onto the cart and then have a menu to choose which game to run. If I could add a MicroSD slot, maybe enterprising coders/hackers could add a Everdrive style menu to copy from SD to flash.
