A problem with Neo Pocket Flash Masta
#1
First, sorry for my poor english but I'm french...

Then, I have just received the Neo Pocket Flash Masta and wanted to try it...

But when i link it to my PC,nothing happens !
I have tried with 2 PC (Win7 64 and WIN7 32) and with 3 differents cables usb.

Nothing !
when i put it in USB port, no sound
In configuration panel nothing new
and with zadig no flash masta recognized

An idea ?

Does the cartridge work on the NGPC itself?

It is possible that there is a problem with the USB port on the cartridge or something like that, but I'm not sure if we should jump to that conclusion yet.

Do you have a Mac or Linux machine to try it on?

It would be nice to try linux live CD and then run 'lsusb' when it's plugged in. This could give us a clue.

Based on what you said, I think it may be a bad USB plug, but I would want to get a bit more data before we decide that.

When you run Zadig, I think there is an option to show all devices. Can you post a screenshot of that (and maybe the output of lsusb if you can try that)?

ALSO, can you be sure that your microUSB cable is plugging fully into the game cartridge? We have heard that some cables may impede the full insertion. Please check that. I know you tried multiple cables, but maybe they were all the same shape?

Some old USB chipset may also have issues with the flashmasta (my previous desktop had one of them).

Depending on where you're in France, I may be able to help for some tests ^^

Yes, that's true. One way to attempt to get around that is to try a USB hub, if you have one available.

OK

I try my cables with my phone and they are data cables.
So it's not that...

I try with another computer under win10
And... it works !

It works great.

I have no idea about how to fix the problem with my two others pc on Win7 but it's not important.

So i'm sorry for inconvenience.

Have a nice day !
